Purpose of this blog is for me to try out recipes from my Weight Watchers cookbooks and hopefully I can find some really yummy, low point recipes to share. But this site is NOT an official Weight Watchers site.
There is no reason to eat as much as we all do. We all love to eat and we can eat but we have to look at the portion even on those healthy things
2-Keep carrot sticks or another raw veggie on the counter while cooking dinner I find I am the munchiest while cooking or baking. I am so hungry I start putting everything in site in my mouth. Junk food is so often the most handy thing- make sure its not the most handy but keeping veggies handy and ready to eat.
3- Drink Water We hear this EVERYWHERE. Have a cup or a bottle handy at all times. This is important on so many levels. Make sure to drink 20 oz before you give in to eating something.
4- Sugar Free Gum
When you are wanting something sweet, sugar free gum is a quick way to combat that sweet tooth. I keep a pack in my kitchen, my bedroom, my bathroom (don't judge), my car's, my purse, and my diaper bag. I don't chew as much as that list sounds but if its handy when that craving hits, it is my first line of defense.
5- Get in a Routine
I do so much better when I'm in a routine. Not the kind where I eat the same breakfast, the same lunch, and the same dinner everyday. A routine where I get up before I certain time every morning (even on days off), where I put on my tennies first thing after breakfast....ect. It helps. Try to keep to this routine even when on a vacation or on a trip.
6- Talk to EVERYONE
Make sure everyone around you knows your goals and your progress. Even if they don't actually care, it helps on two levels. ONE they are more likely to respect that you're trying and be less likely to tell you there is cake in the break room. and TWO it holds you accountable. The more people know and there is the chance they will ask, the more likely you are to keep to that lifestyle.
7- Get an Ap
There are a ton of Aps out there. Find one you like and USE IT!!!! WW and Spark people both have official Aps but there are a bunch of calorie counters and checkers out there.
